Placer County Wine Trail: What’s new for summer
Just a short 30 minute drive from Sacramento, the trail runs from Lincoln to Newcastle and Auburn and is easily accessible from Interstate 80 and Highway 49.
Summer on the Placer County Wine Trail:
•Friday Night Flights and Art Walk at the Auburn Holiday Inn.

•Fountains Summer Art & Wine Stroll On July 21, this wine tasting event at the Fountains in Roseville features the wineries of the Placer County Wine Trail, local artists and munchies from area restaurants. Taste local wines and listen to the blues music of Johnny O, the Blue Fo’s and Connor James as part of the Fountains summer concert series.
•Grape Days of Summer On August 4-5, enjoy wine tasting, small plates of food and music at more than 15 wineries on the Placer County Wine Trail.
Participating wineries are Bonitata, Casque, Ciotti, Cristaldi, Dono dal Cielo, Fawnridge, Fortezza, Lone Buffalo, Mt. Vernon, PaZa, Pescatore, Popie, Rancho Roble, Secret Ravine, Viña Castellano and Wise Villa. For more information, visit PlacerWine.com. WineTrail
B&B for Wine Escapes
The Power’s Mansion Inn in downtown Auburn, dating back to 1884, makes an ideal home-base for a getaway.
It is a well-restored B&B, centrally located in the heart of the Gold Country. It has 15 themed bedrooms, authentic furnishings and a charming lobby with a traditional tea service.
